Black Studies
An extensive collection of black studies and black authors is available. Topics include history, current events, folktales, biography, poetry and fiction.

Hispanic Studies
Hispanic studies and authors are represented in the children's collection. The collection includes fiction, as well as non-fiction.

Picture Books Collection
Located in the Children' Room. A tremendous variety of books, many now labeled with genre stickers for easier browsing. The labels include such themes as Animals, Bedtime, Cars & Trucks, Dinosaurs, Going to School, Monsters, Parenting, Rhymes, Seasons etc...

Newbery Collection
Found in the Children's Room. Named for 18th century British bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded annually by the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.

Graphic Novels
an awesome variety of Fiction and Fantasy novels found in the Children's Room which include exciting plots and action that keep the attention of readers who are very energetic and/or reluctant to read.

World Language
Over 20 languages are represented in this children's collection.

Bilingual Collection
Located in the Children's Room, the Bilingual Collection includes books in Spanish and English. The collection consists of fiction, non-fiction, and picture books.

Spanish Collection
Located in the Children's Room, the Spanish collection includes fiction, picture books, non-fiction and reference materials.
