'Beware the Ides of March' - Today, March 15, is the middle of the month or 'Idus Martias' from the Latin. It was traditionally a day of religious observances in early history. In 44 BC, Julius Caesar was assassinated at a meeting of the Senate. He was stabbed to death with as many as 60 conspirators involved. So, Caesar really did need to beware the Ides!
